Grant Denyer makes shocking confession over video scandal

What you didn't see on camera!

He may have won Gold at the Logies but Grant Denyer is making headlines once again for all the wrong reasons.

While things finally seem to be turning around for Grant, the host has already encountered controversy since his Gold Logie win, with TV insiders claiming the star had some choice words to say off-stage at the star-studded event.

‘He must have assumed no-one could hear him, but it was crystal clear,’ a source reveals to New Idea.

‘His comments were pretty inappropriate – and people were visibly shocked.’

The popular Family Feud host also made another shocking confession last week.

Grant revealed he’d suffered crippling painkiller addiction and a battle with depression that saw him hit rock bottom just five years ago.

While chatting to The Daily Telegraph after his big win, Grant, 40, admitted that when his life took a turn for the worse he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to recover, adding if it weren’t for his kids, he ‘might not be here’.

‘It was a time where I didn’t really give a s*** whether I lived or died,’ he said.

‘I felt like I had nothing to live for.’

Following the monster truck accident that saw the presenter break his back in 2008, Grant’s life quickly began to unravel.

Instead of taking time to slow down, Grant ignored the warning signs and continued to push himself.

Five years later, not only were his organs ‘running at seven per cent’ according to his doctor, the pint-sized celebrity had a bout of delirium during his final on-air appearance as the beloved Sunrise weather man.

The old footage of the TV star, which was recently rediscovered, sparked concerns for Grant who appeared gaunt and erratic in the video.

‘I wasn’t very well. I was in a bit of a hole. I was pretty sad,’ he said. ‘I rebuilt myself.’

During his Logies acceptance speech, Grant referred to his ‘lost time’ as a period of immense sadness. But in good news for him and wife Chezzi, congratulations may be in order!

‘I think about expanding [our family] all the time,’ Chezzi told New Idea on the Logies red carpet.

‘If Grant gets the Gold it could happen tonight!’
