Ousted Today show host Georgie Gardner has been slammed by trolls since it was revealed she was being replaced by returning host Karl Stefanovic in 2020.

But on Monday, the 49-year-old seemingly took the high road, when she took to Twitter to respond to one unhappy viewer.
“You got paid a s**t load of cash to maintain #9Today ratings, not to indulge in your progressive views,” the viewer captioned a photo of Georgie sitting alongside Karl.
“You failed dismally, trashing the show’s ratings. You got paid for failure and you now have attitude?”
The viewer also added the accompanying caption “Men are superior” across the photo.
While the veteran television presenter could have lashed out at the viewer, she instead simply replied: “I wish you well”.
Georgie’s fans were quick to take to social media to pass on their regards and praise the TV presenter for her calm and “classy” response.
“Ignore the haters. Thanks for being a wonderful role model to young Aussie women, including my two daughters. Such intelligence and grace. You’ll be missed,” one person wrote.
“Wishing you all the best Georgie, you certainly don’t deserve those comments. You’re a beautiful classy women,” another fan wrote.
A third person added: “You’re all class, Georgie. Congratulations on your efforts. Here’s to your next chapter!”
Georgie previously broke her silence after the shock news Karl Stefanovic will replace her on the Today show.
“I was consulted two weeks ago about the future direction of the Today Show and naturally I’m disappointed with the outcome,” she told 9Now.
