Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they were pregnant, royal fans have tried to guess who the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would pick to be their baby’s godfather and godmother.

Amongst the many famous names thrown in the ring were glamourous Hollywood couple George and Amal Clooney and sitting down for an interview with WHO magazine, the actor addressed the royal baby rumours himself!
“Oh yes, I’ll be the godfather of the royals apparently,” Clooney told WHO, before laughing and confirming, “No!”
The Catch-22 star joked with WHO that he has too much responsibility already without being the godfather of a royal baby: “I’m the father of twins, I have enough sh– to deal with – literally!”
Last week close friends of the Duchess of Sussex have spoken out in support of Meghan to counter the “global bullying” directed at the royal and revealed that the Duchess had written her father a heartrending letter.
Speaking with WHO, Clooney addressed the treatment of his friend Meghan Markle in the media: “She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and its history repeating itself.
“We’ve seen how that ends. I can’t tell you how frustrating that is, just seeing them broadcast a letter from a daughter to a father, she’s getting a raw deal there and I think it’s irresponsible and I’m surprised by that.”
