Craig McLachlan and Annie Jones became Australian household names in Neighbours, but now the two are reuniting in ABC‘s The Doctor Blake Mysteriesfinale.
Unlike her humble Ramsey-street character Jane Harris, the 50-year-old played out some risqué scenes which saw her don some racy pieces of lingerie.
“Because it’s set in the 60s, for authenticity, all the women, we all wear the 60s underwear… so we were getting around in the pointy bras and the girdles, all that,” Jones laughed as she told TV Guide.
Jones also told the publication that even decades after finishing up on the soapie, she still gets recognised by fans of the show.
“I was actually just at a friend’s wedding a few weeks ago, on a Greek island, as you do and they were an English couple so had friends there from the UK,” several who remembered the actress.
“They were all ‘oh my god, what are you doing here?’ remembering me from those days…it’s still very, very popular in the UK.”
The show which has grown quite a following has a new home as it’s set to be broadcast by Channel 7 in 2018.
