Constance Hall’s second husband Denim Cooke has opened up about the tragic death of his first wife by suicide.
Taking to Facebook, Denim spoke about the mental anguish that he and their two sons went through at the time of her passing.

“When I was first told the shocking news of my ex wife’s suicide I called the one person I looked up to for stoic, logical advice, I called my father,” Denim wrote.
“I said, ‘what about my boys, dad? what do I tell them’ Silence ensued and I knew from that moment on I was alone.
“Over the next few days … I dealt with the realities in secret and I blocked out the repetitive thoughts of what I was going to say because I knew it would drive me crazy. After two days of living like what I presume a schizophrenic deals with daily I allowed myself to formulate the words needed to lessen the impact on my young boys of just 7 and 11.
“I realised that no one person knew the boys as well as I did and I needed to draw on everything life had taught me previous to this tragic event.
“And it didn’t take me long to realise that life had unwittingly prepared me perfectly for this event. I found the words that took the wind from the sails of shock and then I found the actions to heal such wounds by listening to my heart.”
Denim continued: “I share this because I want you all to become more aware of our ability to deal with situations in the moment. To trust that we are equipped with the tools to transcend such tragedies and to dispose of the futility of repetitive thought and worry about future events.
“Worrying has never helped me. Trusting that I will deal with adversity if it ever arises gives me the confidence to approach such moments with clarity.”
Denim married controversial mummy blogger Constance in Western Australia last year after meeting when Constance’s previous marriage was breaking down.
They welcomed a son together in May last year, named Raja.
