He’s been dubbed “Australia’s hottest tradie” while simultaneousy incurring the hatred of viewers nationwide for his body shaming comments and vile behavior towards TV bride Elizabeth Sobinoff.
But despite previous drama, it seems Married At First Sight‘s Sam Ball kept his biggest scandal a closely guarded secret – until now.
Video footage has emerged showing the 26-year-old filming scenes on the set of the long-running Channel 7 staple Home and Away.
The clip – which was shared on a MAFS parody Instagram account – dates back to January 2018.
The shocking post quickly racked up more than 13,000 views and drew hundreds of comments from fans and haters alike, with one person tagging their friends saying: “The truth comes out!”
Another wrote “well this explains a lot”, while many Instagram users said they believed people would stop watching the social experiment after the discovery.
A number of people branded the Channel 9 social experiment “fake and staged”.
One European user even wrote in French “so this means he is an actor?”, to which someone replied “they’re all actors”.
Others poked fun at the revelation, declaring: “He’s not hot enough to be a river boy!”
The news comes hours after Sam took his extramarital affair with co-star Ines Basic to the next level by spending the night together.
But while it seems the Bosnian-born beauty was hoping for something serious, their late night rendezvous was nothing more than a one-night stand for bad boy Sam.
“Ines fell for Sam hard [after that night],” an onset insider revealed to New Idea.
So much so that it is understood, Ines – who was matched with Bronson – tried to get Sam to re-enter the experiment with her but Sam wasn’t sold on the idea.
“He wasn’t ready to commit to that level,” the source added.
“Ines tried everything to get him to agree and was actually mortified that he wouldn’t do that for her – it caused a lot of tension.”
New Idea understands it was after this conversation that things turned sour.
“Ines was furious with Sam and felt used,” the spy continued, adding the duo no longer speak and actively despise each other.
