A close family friend of Brad Pitt’s Lori Duggan-Heisler has come forward and revealed how she thinks the actor should have stayed with Jen and how Angelina drove him to drink.
Although Lori says she’s proud of him becoming a star, she feels the entertainment world has taken a lot from Brad and she was devastated to read about his recent struggles, having battled addiction herself.
“I think Hollywood got its claws into him, he can’t be happy now, he can’t be,” she said. “He seems to have been taken over by bad habits. I was shocked,” she revealed.
“But he’s never lied about anything. Everything I’ve read he’s been like, ‘Yeah, I’ve been drinking.’ He’s nothing but honest, that’s the Brad I know.”
Asked how she feels about Angelina dragging his name through the mud in their custody battle, she said: “It breaks my heart, it really does. And those kids are now all over the world, their schooling is tutored, there’s nothing normal about their childhoods.”
Lori feels Brad would have been better off staying with his ex Jennifer, whom his parents Jane and William preferred, while Angelina, who had a colourful past with tales of wild sex and drugs, was someone they deemed not to be a fit match for their son.
