Who is Anna Heinrich?

Anna Heinrich is an Australian lawyer, brand ambassador and reality TV personality best known for her starring role on the first season of The Bachelor Australia.

Born in Goulburn, Sydney on 30 November 1986, 33-year-old Anna is the middle child of three daughters; her family is of Hungarian extraction and she enjoys a close relationship with her mother.

After graduating from the University of Technology Sydney with an undergraduate degree in law, she moved to Sydney University to study Gender and Anthropology before ultimately practicing as a defence lawyer.

Heinrich practiced at Sydney CBD law firm Watsons Lawyers before her stint on The Bachelor, where she reportedly earned $2,200 per day for her work as a criminal legal adviser.

She is currently represented by Woollahra-based agency Chic Talent Management.

Who is Tim Robards?

Tim Robards is an Australian actor, chiropractor and model who was cast as the title character in the first season of The Bachelor Australia.

Born in Newcastle, New South Wales in 1982, Robards planned to become a lawyer but went on to pursue a career in health after developing a passion for well-being and fitness towards the end of high school.

He trained as a personal fitness coach and studied physics at the University of Newcastle before relocating to Sydney where he completed a Bachelors of Medical Science at the University of Wollongong and later a Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University.

He practiced as a chiropractor for seven years before being cast as ‘The Bachelor’ in the reality series of the same name, in which 25 women compete to become his wife.

In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Tim has developed a fitness programme called The Robards Method and released a diet book titled The 7:2:1 Plan.

Tim and Anna on The Bachelor

During the final rose ceremony in Thailand, Robards chose criminal lawyer Anna Heinrich over model Rochelle Emanuel-Smith.

The finale came as a surprise, with real estate agent Ali Oetjen being the hot favourite among viewers from the outset of the contest.

In an emotional exchange, Tim told his chosen love: ‘It feels so good to finally be able to acknowledge what my heart is feeling, and you have my heart.

‘I have fallen madly and deeply in love with you… I want to make you feel special every day. I can’t wait to start the next part of our journey together.’

Tim was Anna’s first ever boyfriend, a fact she has been open about with the media. She notably remarked: ‘This will be the first boyfriend, and the last!’

Of their first meeting on the show, Tim said: ‘She looked dazzling, amazing and I really like the little husky voice, it was sexy.’

He said her finest attributes were her beautiful looks, humility and self-assurance.

Anna endeared herself to the public when she revealed red lipstick smears on her teeth during her first conversation with Tim.

One of Tim’s final three, Adelaide real estate agent Ali Oetjen, went on to star in the 2018 series of The Bachelorette which was widely panned for failing to live up to the excitement of previous installments.

Life after The Bachelor

Tim and Anna went on to appear as a couple on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2015, while Tim took part in the 15th season of Australia’s Dancing with the Stars later that year.

Robards has also appeared on Australian Ninja Warrior and played a guest role on Neighbours as Pierce Greyson in 2018.

Anna previously told Grazia magazine the most terrifying thing she ever did was ‘going on a national television show to risk it all to find love’.

She also told the publication the biggest misconception about her – ‘that I don’t work’. Heinrich stressed you can’t believe everything you read or how online websites try to depict her lavish life of leisure, saying: ‘I work, believe me, and I work hard.’

Speaking about her decision to feature on The Bachelor, Heinrich has consistently claimed to have had a ‘genuine belief’ she would find love.

‘I think everything was aligned…I never like to put the show down because we’re so thankful…For us, it was really right, and because it was so new and fresh they really wanted a couple to find each other. I wouldn’t go on [the show] today.’

Tim and Anna famously took things slow after filming wrapped, taking time to enjoy normal couple activities without the pressure of television cameras and media headlines.

In May 2017, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram after almost four years of dating.

Tim captioned his post: ‘On the weekend… in a little dinghy… floating on a secluded river… I asked this amazing woman to marry me… she said YES!!! Woohoo!!’

Anna’s engagement ring is worth an estimated $173,000 AUD.

The couple are known for their vast collection of cute and hilarious Instagram photos.

For Tim’s 35th birthday in 2017, Anna shared a picture of an extravagant cake featuring a nearly nude muscle bound man who she said looked just like him.

The duo married in a lavish ceremony in Puglia, Italy in June 2018, making them the first couple from The Bachelor franchise to wed.

The intimate ceremony was held at the Masseria Potenti hotel, with Anna wearing a stunning white beaded gown by Australian designer Steven Khalil accessorised with a straight, flowing veil, diamond drop earrings and nude heels.

After their opulent nuptials, the pair set sail on a yacht round the Mediterranean with some of their wedding guests.

In November 2018, Tim and Anna revealed they had bought their first home together in Sydney’s exclusive Rose Bay.

The couple purchased a $1.9 million AUD luxury art deco apartment with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a car space.

Plastic surgery rumours

In April 2017, Daily Mail Australia published pictures of Anna Heinrich attending the Logies where she exhibited a decidedly slimmer jawline, accentuated cheekbones and visibly taut skin.

Heinrich has never admitted to undergoing aesthetic surgery, but she has been open about her weight loss since appearing on the hit Channel Ten series.

She attributes her increasingly lithe physique to her hectic schedule and busy lifestyle since featuring on the show.

Are Tim and Anna on Instagram?

Yes, both are very active on the social media platform.

Anna, @annaheinrich1, has 351,000 followers while Tim, @mrtimrobards, has 187,000 at the time of writing.

Where are they currently living and what are they up to these days?

Since their lavish wedding, Tim and Anna have put their heads down to focus on their respective careers with Tim living in Melbourne to film his role for Neighbours while Anna remains at home in Sydney for her criminal lawyer day-job.

Anna has also landed a role on Kyle Sandilands’ Trial By Kyle, where contestants appear before a mock court in their own ‘trial’.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph at a New Year’s Day party in Sydney’s Rose Bay, Anna said starting a family has ‘always been part of our life plan’ and hinted the newlyweds may start trying for a baby this year.

She seemed to confirm this time frame in an interview with Confidential at the Australian Open earlier in January 2019.
