Prince Charles made a huge faux pas while trying to entertain visiting world leaders at the D-Day commemoration on Wednesday.

The Prince appeared to crack a joke while world leaders sat for a group photograph, but his remarks didn’t go down well with his mother, the Queen.
Although Donald Trump managed to raise a smile, Queen Elizabeth was most definitely not amused by her son’s attempt to lighten the mood during the photocall.

While Charles appeared delighted at his gag, the Queen was the model of restraint and remained expressionless.
Luxembourg’s Xavier Bettel, Belgium’s leader Charles Michel and Norway’s prime minister Erna Solberg also appeared amused, which may have been some comfort to the future King.

It’s been a busy week for the Queen and the royal family, who welcomed Donald Trump for his state visit on Monday, which concluded with the D-Day commemoration.
