Prince Harry may be hoping for a family reunion this summer, but Prince William and Kate Middleton won’t be rolling out the welcome mat.
Sources close to the Prince and Princess of Wales say their stance on the Sussexes hasn’t changed, and they have zero plans to see Harry and Meghan Markle if the couple returns to the UK.

“The Prince and Princess of Wales’s position has not changed, and they would not make arrangements to see them outside of them potentially attending an official public engagement,” a source told The Mirror.
Harry is due back in the UK for around a week in July, with Invictus Games engagements and a WellChild appearance on the agenda.
It is thought that he is also hoping King Charles will extend an invitation to Sandringham — the royal Norfolk estate where Will and Kate have their country home, Anmer Hall.

When it comes to his family, Harry is standing firm and has indicated he is unlikely to bring Meghan and the children to the UK unless his taxpayer-funded security detail is reinstated — a protection he lost when the couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
A friend of Harry’s told The Sunday Times: “If he was invited by the King, he would get a package of security that automatically kicks in.”
“He’d like an invite to Sandringham. Would he go? It would depend who was there. If the King was to say, ‘Come up and spend some time with the family’, he’d love that.”
Sources were quick to point out that the King makes his own decisions – separate from Will and Kate.
“If the King was to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stay with him, that is a matter for His Majesty alone,” the source said.

Harry last came face-to-face with his father in September 2025 — their first meeting in 19 months — with sources saying he “always loves seeing his father and would love to see him as much as possible.”
Meghan hasn’t been back to the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022. Archie and Lilibet haven’t visited since the Platinum Jubilee that same year.
Before any potential UK trip, Harry and Meghan have set their sights on an Australia tour later this month — their first visit Down Under in seven years — where they’ll make a number of appearances in Sydney and Melbourne.
