Method
1.
To make caramelised onions, heat an oiled, large frying pan over a medium heat. Add onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes, or until softened. Add sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes, or until caramelised. Transfer to a bowl.

Heat an oiled barbecue grill plate over a medium to high heat. Add frankfurters. Cook, turning occasionally, for 8 minutes, or until heated through.

To make spicy mustard, combine mustard, paprika and chilli in a small bowl.

To serve, split rolls lengthways down the centre. Fill rolls with frankfurters, dill cucumbers and caramelised onions. Drizzle with tomato sauce and spicy mustard.
