Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles are “delighted” by the news Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child, Kensington Palace has shared.
Charles is already a grandfather to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Members of the royal family reportedly congratulated Harry and Meghan on their happy news at Princess Eugenie’s wedding on Friday.
Meghan Markle’s mum, Doria Ragland, also shared a sweet statement through Kensington Palace about her daughter and son-in-law’s announcement, saying she is “very happy at this lovely news and is looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
According to Daily News royal correspondent Rebecca English, the Palace “declined to comment on whether her father, Thomas Markle, had been told.”
However, multiple reports suggest that Mr Markle “found out” at the same time as the rest of the world.
