The Prince of Wales visited the island nation of Fiji in 1970, and a photo of the then 22-year-old shows the royal sporting a rather different hairstyle.

Shaking hands with local chiefs at Levuka on the island of Ovalau, the Prince of Wales’ hair is noticeably longer and combed over – in a look some royal fans are dubbing a “combed over mullet”.

In 1953, Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh stood on the balcony and waved to adoring fans.

Just like in 1953, fans gathered outside the Grand Pacific Hotel to congratulate Harry and Meghan on their pregnancy.

After an official welcome ceremony, The Duke and Duchess will unveil a new statue commemorating Sergeant Talaiasi Labalaba, a British-Fijian soldier who lost his life in the 1972 Battle of Mirbat. The event will be attended by the President of Fiji, and senior representatives from government and the Armed Forces.
