Isabella Rees passed way on February 4, 2015, and an inquest has heard Mrs Reese took her daughter to Melbourne’s Sunshine Hospital three times in two weeks.

The court heard despite presenting with the symptoms, which also included blackened faeces, vomiting and blood clots, doctors said whatever was inside her would pass through.

On the first day of the inquest into Bella’s death, her mother said she knew each time they went into the hospital they would be turned away.

According to The Herald Sun, she said: “I knew they weren’t going to believe us.

“Because every time we went we had evidence – we were just disregarded.”

The family released a statement via Facebook on November 13, “Yesterday the inquest into the loss of our beautiful Bella started in the Victorian corners court.

“It was a very emotional day and it’s going to be a big week for us all. Thank you so much for all your love & support.

“Our little girls story, is finally being heard.”

The family also asked for donations due to the heavy demands the inquest has created.

The statement read, “This is not an easy ask…but we need help to raise some funds for the legal representation of Bella’s family at the Victorian Coroners.
