This week, a rumour of a “big rift” between sister-in-laws Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton got people talking. Now, body language expert Judi James has claimed it’s “no surprise” the two duchesses don’t get along.

Insiders claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are “very different people.” Whether or not rumours of a feud are legitimate, it’s fair to say that the two women don’t have all that much in common (besides the unique positions they’ve both landed in).

James told Fabulous Online: “The more reserved Kate has been slowly, carefully and gradually growing into her role in the royal family to the point where she is now showing all the signs of becoming its matriarch.

“Meanwhile, Meghan’s glamorous Hollywood lifestyle allowed her to integrate quickly and with much higher levels of confidence. She is a campaigner, feminist and a performer.”

Kate and Meghan both came from very different upbringings, but both had very strong female role models.

The Duchess of Cambridge was born into an upper-middle-class family with parents who founded a party supply business.

Michael and Carole Middleton, and Kate’s siblings Pippa and James, appeared to ascend to their places in Britain’s high-class society with ease after the Royal Wedding in 2011.

Judi says Carole is “known for her dislike of cameras” and believes this may influence Kate shying away from the spotlight.

Meanwhile, Meghan have an American working-class upbringing, Fabulous notes.

The Duchess of Sussex’s parents Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle divorced when their daughter was just six.

Doria has proven to be a constant source of support and strength to her daughter.

Judi believes Meghan may have got her love of the spotlight from her mum said: Doria is a bit of a scene-stealer in her own right and mother and daughter do a perfect red carpet double act, suggesting a fun relationship and hinting that they both have a bit of the performance gene.

She said: “They pose like friends as well as parent-child and seem to have a shared love of the camera.”

The news of a feud between the two royals was only intensified after it was confirmed Prince Harry and Meghan would be moving out of Kensington Palace and into Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage.

Sunrise Royal editor Rob Johnson reveals this is a similar story similar to what happened when Princess Diana and Prince Charles started a family, and doesn’t indicate that the couple are moving due to their supposed relationship.
