Meghan Markle is enjoying some sweet bonding time with her newborn royal baby Archie Harrison as she continues her maternity leave from official duties.

The Duchess of Sussex has not made a public appearance since May 8, when she stepped out with Prince Harry and baby Archie for a photo call at Windsor Castle.

But royal fan watchers are expecting to see the new mother sooner rather than later, as senior members of the House of Windsor gear up for the Queen‘s annual birthday parade – officially known as Trooping The Colour – on June 8.

Last year Kate Middleton was also on maternity leave when the iconic event rolled round, having welcomed her third child Prince Louis on April 23.

The Duchess of Cambridge took a break from her official sabbatical to attend the celebration, arriving with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall in matching mint ensembles.

Meghan gave birth to baby Archie on May 6, just days after Kate delivered Louis last year leading many to speculate she will follow in her sister-in-law’s footsteps to mark the special occasion.

If history is anything to go by it’s unlikely little Archie will join his royal parents at this year’s event, with Prince George making his Trooping The Colour debut shortly after his second birthday in 2015.

Princess Charlotte followed suit one year later, with mum Kate holding her close on the balcony of Buckingham Palace when she was 13-months-old.

Last year Meghan made her first appearance at the parade – held the second Saturday in June – in a dusty pink bardot dress by Carolina Herrera and a matching hat by royal milliner Philip Treacy.

The event made headlines when Prince George was put in his place by big cousin Savannah Phillips, daughter of Princess Anne’s son Peter and his Canadian wife Autumn.

Savannah shushed the future King during the RAF flypast before cupping her hand cheekily over his mouth.

The hilarious scene delighted fans and made international headlines, but the Duke of Cambridge famously looked less than impressed at their antics.
