On Monday night’s episode of Married At First Sight, Heidi and Mike’s relationship falls apart.
After a huge fight before lunch, Heidi and Mike are at breaking point.
Heidi reveals that after the commitment ceremony Mike only got dinner for himself.
“I said what happened, he was like “Your shop was shut.”
“She’s stuck in these over reactions. She thinks I don’t want her. But I do…” Mike laments as he irons his shirt.
Heidi is mourning alone in the room next door. She’s emotional because she doesn’t have a normal family unit – but Mike does. She’s feeling envious.
“I wish I had a dad or something, but I don’t. It’s just sh*t,” Heidi wails.
Meanwhile Mike starts weeping on his shirt thinking he’s lost Heidi for good. “I’m not crying on camera,” he says walking out.
They head for lunch. “We need to air our dirty laundry,” declares Heidi.
They sit down and Heidi starts to talk about their problems.
“We don’t know how to communicate with one another,” Heidi reveals.
“It’s really painful” sighs Mike.
They talk about the dinner issue again. Mike accuses Heidi of emotional abuse.
They continue arguing in front of family and friends. “If this is marriage, I don’t want it. I’m out!”
Mike’s dad loves Heidi and makes them apologise and look at each other.
“You’re expecting too much too soon at the moment,” says Mike’s dad.
He gets them to talk about what they like about each other, then asks them to hold each other’s hands and apologise to one another.
“I’m gonna come round and give you a big cuddle because I want you as my daughter In law… be patient with him.
“I’m gonna give it one more crack,” declares Mike.
