ROYALS

Kate & Wills first days with baby number 3

The moment the whole world has been waiting for!

As they eagerly await the arrival of their third child, Prince William and Duchess Kate are gearing up for an even bigger life change – the Queen is preparing to make the pair the next king and queen of England!

With Charles’ suitability to be the Queen’s successor as the Head of the Commonwealth recently coming up for debate, it has become painfully clear to the Queen that the people do not want him as their king.

‘The Queen has decided to step in and make the decision that William will be king,’ says a top palace source.

Despite the Queen’s desperate attempts to salvage her eldest son’s reputation, saying he has represented the Commonwealth with ‘great distinction’, she cannot ignore the demands of the people any longer.

William, 35, and Kate, 36, on the other hand, enjoy immense popularity and have been credited for elevating the royal family’s relevance since their 2011 wedding.

Currently, more than half of the UK think William should be the next king, while only a fifth favour Charles.

Unable to argue with the numbers, the Queen, 92, now feels William is the right person to take on the top job.

Meanwhile, the palace is gearing up for the arrival of baby number three.

According to sources, Kate is keen for a speedy birth and ‘wants to be in and out of the hospital as soon as possible’, according to In Touch.

‘She wants to start bonding with the baby and have some family time.’

Kate is once again enlisting the help of her mum Carole Middleton to assist her through the first few days after the birth, giving her time to make sure George and Charlotte are adjusting to the new baby.

‘She’s worried Charlotte may get jealous and doesn’t want her to feel left out,’ says the source.

And in a touching tribute, the Queen has suggested Kate and Wills give the baby the middle name Spencer, which was the last name of William’s late mother, Princess Diana.

However, the excitement of the new royal baby isn’t able to totally detract from the future monarch crisis.

‘The palace is in turmoil and enormous instability is rising through the ranks over the whole constitutional crisis, and the Queen isn’t going to stand for it any more,’ says the source, who reveals Her Majesty has already set the wheels in motion to ensure William takes the crown ahead of his father.

‘She has told Charles that no matter what the Commonwealth meeting agrees on, she has decided to make William the king and she will execute her plan in due course.’

Once a favourable choice to be the future king, 69-year-old Charles’ popularity with the people took a severe hit in 1992, following the public breakdown of his marriage to Diana, and has never managed to recover.

And while William and Kate may already have their hands full with the demands of a growing family, when it comes to the royals, the show must go on!

‘She knows William will be an amazing king – he reminds the Queen so much of herself as a younger woman: confident and loyal, with a wonderful sense of duty and family.  The Queen is excited about the future of the monarchy with William on the throne.’

And with a level head and a loving wife by his side, it appears William is the perfect choice to take on this important role.

‘When the Queen decides she’s going to hand down more responsibilities, I’ll be the first person to accept them,’ says William, Duke of Cambridge, of his role of future monarch.

And when it comes to role models, he says he couldn’t have asked for a better one in his grandmother.

And when it comes to role models, he says he couldn’t have asked for a better one in his grandmother.

‘I think the Queen’s duty and her service, her tolerance, her commitment to others, I think that’s all been incredibly important to me and it’s been a real guiding example of just what a good monarch could be,’ Prince William said in 2016.

‘And it’s been incredibly insightful for me growing up,’ he added, ‘watching her leadership in that role.’
