The Voice Australia is over for another season as Diana Rouvas from Boy George’s team walked away with the win after Sunday night’s epic finale, leaving Daniel Shaw as the runner up.

Some viewers were left outraged at the finale result, and called for a recount after website glitches meant they couldn’t place their votes.
However one The Voice fan has alleged there’s another reason why Daniel didn’t claim the top prize on the show.
A 21-year-old from Melbourne, who goes by the name Maddie on Twitter, says she went to school with Daniel and has alleged his “backwards views” have been the issue.
Taking to Twitter in May, the PR student uploaded a screenshot of a Facebook profile under the name Daniel Shaw, with a Vote NO Australia profile frame, for the 2017 Marriage Plebiscite.
Taking a dig at The Voice, she wrote: “We don’t support and give homophobes a platform to spread their backwards views @TheVoiceAu.”
Maddie has tweeting numerous times throughout Daniel’s appearance on the show to make her allegations know.
“For people confused about what i’m talking about i posted these in may about Daniel Shaw after seeing him on the voice – i went to school with him and had many arguments with him about his backwards views which he is now denying ever having although i have receipts?” she tweeted during the finale.
The disgruntled student tagged coaches Delta Goodrem, Boy George, Guy Sebastian and Kelly Rowland into her tweets, but there was no response from anyone on the show.
Diana, 35, beat Delta’s singer Daniel, 21, to take the $100,000 prize money and a recording contract with EMI Music.
