Samantha Armytage, 47, has announced she is leaving Channel Seven after 21 years.
Taking to Instagram, the Farmer Wants A Wife host shared a slew of photos from her time on the network, along with a statement.
“21 is a coming-of-age,” the journalist wrote.
“And so, after that many years, I am departing Channel 7 with lots of happy memories, a full heart & huge thanks to the many fantastic colleagues along the journey.”
The former Sunrise host added that there are “too many highlights to list”.
The presenter continued: “I have hosted almost every show in the network (from Sunrise dawn to Farmer’s dusk) ~ & covered many of the important news stories of the past 2 decades.
“I started at 7 as a fresh-faced 26yo journo & will leave as a .. ahem… more matured -faced woman – who’s worked hard, had THE most incredible experiences & also a lot of fun.
“I hope I’ve brought a little bit of info & sparkle into your living rooms so far 💫 to ALL who watched, thank you for tuning-in for so many years. 📺
She finished: “This is not the end, just the end of this chapter.”
Sam was inundated with messages of support from her industry friends and colleagues.
Sunrise successor Natalie Barr commented: “What an amazing ride it’s been Sam! Congratulations.”
Fellow Seven presenter Mel McLaughlin added: “Always on your own terms girlfriend. Congrats, see you soon.”
Edwina Bartholomew wrote: “An incredibly exciting new chapter. I look forward to catching up for a drink at the Logies.”
And Kylie Gillies penned: “21 ? Time to unlock the next chapter hey ? So many laughs and memories. Glad to have shared in some of them.”
After eight years at the helm, Sam quit Sunrise in March 2021.
“I have always been brave and fearless in my career and this decision is no different,” she said at the time.
The now-47-year-old announced her Farmer Wants A Wife gig in February 2023, joining Natalie Gruzlewski as co-host.
Currently, Sam divides her time between Sydney and the Southern Highlands, where her husband Richard Lavender owns a 40-hectare property.
