The release of Britney Spears‘ tell-all memoir, The Woman in Me, has been delayed “indefinitely” according to new reports that claimed Britney had made several explosive claims about ex-boyfriends Justin Timberlake and Colin Farrell.
Originally, the highly anticipated memoir was slated for an October 25th release date, three months from when the project became public knowledge in July.
But now, fans of the pop iconic may be waiting much longer to get their hands on a copy, with insider sources claiming that unless Britney removes her references to both Justin and Colin, there will be “possible litigation.”

“Lawyers demanded to see her book in advance and were adamant that some of the revelations were removed,” an insider told The Sun.
“There are still plenty of gobsmacking tales but Timberlake and Farrell were conscious about what could be said about them.”

The Hit Me Baby One More Time singer dated Justin from 1999 – 2000 and Colin for a few months in 2003.
Despite this development, however, the memoir may still be released as planned following “much back and forth” between parties about “what can and can’t be included.”
Details surrounding the highly-anticipated project have revealed by her publisher, Gallery Books. This includes the cover art and synopsis.
Described as “a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope”, fans are ecstatic that the star has been granted the chance to tell her story on her own terms.
Nearly two years after the termination of the singer’s conservatorship, the memoir can be viewed as an extension of the #FreeBritney movement. During this 13-year conservatorship, the star’s personal life and finances were taken control of by her father and sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Regarded as highly exploitative, Britney famously told a court in June 2021, “I want my life back”.
Not long after the termination of this long-withstanding legal arrangement, news of a memoir came in 2022, where reports of a $15 million book deal made themselves apparent.

While it is expected that Britney will provide insight into her exceptional pop career, it is also inferred that the star will comment on the trials and tribulations she has faced as a woman in the spotlight.
