According to a body language expert, Harry, 34, showed “whole body happiness” as he spoke of the birth, because he was just too happy to do anything else!

Baby Sussex was born on Monday, May 6 at 5.26am local time. He weighed 3.26kg, and was reportedly five days overdue.

The baby’s place of birth is still unclear, with talk that the Duchess of Sussex, 37, may have been transported to the Portland Hospital in London still unconfirmed.

The Duke of Sussex proudly announced that his wife Meghan and their newborn baby are doing really well, and that the birth was “the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined”.

Harry and Meghan abandoned the traditional nature of royal birth announcements, and instead posted to their own Sussex Royal Instagram account the news that their baby boy had arrived.

Speaking to press at the announcement, a beaming Harry was clearly overjoyed at becoming a new dad.

Talking of the Duke’s emotional appearance, body language expert Judi James told Daily Mail: “It’s not often we see any royal using spontaneously happy and excited body language to this level but Harry was clearly too proud and joyful to do anything else but share his great news with anyone around, including the horses, which he randomly thanked at the end of his announcement!

“Harry is into whole-body happiness here, spontaneously jumping forward as he says the words ‘baby boy’ and describing the experience as ‘amazing’ while throwing his hands out and erupting with a loud giggle,” she explains.

The prince could hardly contain his excitement!

“His face changes when he talks about his wife and how impressed he is with her and he touches his forehead and shakes his head in a gesture of bewilderment.

“The hand clap at the end shows he can’t wait to get back to his ‘little thing’ though,” Judi says.

It’ll be a couple more days before we get a glimpse of Meghan or Baby Sussex, with Harry confirming that they’ll present their son to the world in two days time.
