Many have been wondering whether Stu Laundy and Married At First Sight’s Ashley Irvin dating after rumours circulated. Now, the former Bachelorette star has set the record straight on the Kyle and Jackie O show.
“No I’m not, sorry” Laundy confirmed when asked by Kyle Sandilands if he was sleeping with Irvin.
“She’s an awesome girl, you would’ve seen it on TV, we’ve become good buddies. She’s actually like a little sister,” Laundy, who dated Sophie Monk, explained.
The 44-year-old revealed that Irvin had reached out to him for a drink via Instagram, so he invited her along to one of his many pubs.
“I was going to be there on the Friday night…so I said ‘come along'”.
When pressed further by Jackie O, Laundy said that her young age was a factor.
“She’s 25 years old or something, I have a 16 year old daughter, it’s just getting too close to comfort.”
Irvin was set up with Troy Delmege on the Channel 9 dating show, but when their romance ended he started a relationship with fellow MAFS contestant Carly Bower.
Laundy has not been linked to anyone romantically since his split from Monk.
