The Bachelor 2018 Episode 13: Bad hair, emotional love letters and steamy spa sessions

Who will make it to the home towns?

In episode 13 Nick treats the final six bachelorettes to a 1950’s-inspired bowling date. It’s the very last group date and tensions are at an all-time high.

Nick turns up to the date, he thinks he looks like a pet lizard. He’s not far off. Sophie thinks he looks ‘sah hot’.

Brittany thinks he looks like ‘chewy the alpaca’. She’s about right.

Cass doesn’t even notice. She’s too nervous to impress him so she can make home towns.

With hometown visits just around the corner, Nick is hoping to sort out the hot strikes from the gutter balls with a chance to spend one on one time with every girl who bowls a strike.

Brooke does incredibly well and gets the first strike. The girls feel ‘annoyed’ as she gets her one on one time with Nick.

Sophie scores the next strike and steals the time off Nick. He enjoys his time with her but then is interrupted by Emily.

“It’s like a bloody merry go round,” laments Nick as more girls come in and out for their one on ones with the Honey Badger.

The Bachelor

Next up emotions run high when the girls are faced with writing a letter to their future self in 2028.

Dasha starts crying for some reason. The producers have to step in and convince her that she’s strong and amazing.

Then Cass chokes up as she describes her ‘soul mate’ aka Nick when she has to read her letter aloud to the group.

Nick steps in to give her a cuddle. “She deserves to be loved,” Nick says like a father would say to his daughter.

Then it’s Dasha’s time to start crying as she talks about her son being 15.

“I can’t do it,” sniffs Dasha. She does give it a go, but then questions what the hell she’s doing on the show.

“Is it fair to keep Dasha away from little Leon. I dunno,” questions Nick.

The air turns lighter when Britt reads her letter out and talks about how they are still having great sex 10 years on. Nick looks excited. Sophie and Cass are like, ‘damn girl… why didn’t I think of that?’

The Bachelor

Unsurprisingly, Nick chooses Britt. They eat chocolate. They talk about home town visits. She puts him under the pump to tell her how he feels. He mumbles something about being meaningful and sharing philosophies and they twist some tongues. It’s clearly obvious she’s a frontrunner.

Next up Sophie is up for her last single date, they do some ice hockey before a snog and a furry polar bear present for Sophie.

“What’s its name?” asks Sophie. “Bear,” says Nick proudly.

Next up things get steamy as the lovebirds take a late-night dip in the Bach pad spa.

Nick gets all romantic. “If you wee in this pool it will change colour,” he says.

Then the all-important talks of hometown visits come around. Nick says Sophie has ‘fire in her eyes’ and they kiss. Lots. Sophie talks about falling in love with Nick.

The Bachelor

It’s crunch time and viewers are questioning who to place their winnings bets for. Brittany or Sophie?

At the cocktail party, Cass drags Nick aside and brandishes two ukuleles and some Hawaiian shirts in an attempt to win him over.

They play some bad music and laugh a lot. We wonder when he’s going to dump her.

Meanwhile back on the sofas, the girls are all confused to why Sophie has a polar bear and not a rose.

The Bachelor

Then Dasha gets taken aside, she shows Nick pictures of her son. ‘You miss him a lot don’t ya?’ says Nick uncomfortably. He’s clearly not taking her to home towns.

Finally, at a dramatic rose ceremony, Cassie is beside herself as she realises she’s made it to hometowns along with Brooke, Brittany and Sophie but two are left without a rose… bye, bye Dasha and Emily.
