Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell announced their engagement last month, after Chandler popped the question on Bindi’s 21st Birthday – and mum Terri couldn’t be happier for her little girl.
The joy of the occasion looks like it’s doing the 55-year-old mum-of-two the world of good as she appeared happy, youthful and wrinkle-free in a snap shared to Bindi’s Instagram.
“My best friend ❤️ Mum, thank you for your support and always encouraging me to follow my dreams.
“You are the greatest mama on the planet and I’m so blessed to have your light in my life,” Bindi captioned the photograph.
Fans of the family went wild for the photo, commenting that Terri looked like she’d had a makeover.
“Gorgeous.. Bindi, you have some great genes 👌🏼” commented one fan.
“She doesn’t age! She looks sooooo good,” wrote another.
“Your mom never ages – I swear she never ages!” another said.
Another added: “So young she could be your sister.”
Terri, whose husband Steve Irwin died in 2006, last year revealed she hasn’t been on a date since his death.
“I think it’s wonderful when people who have lost someone find love again, but I’m not personally looking, and I haven’t been on a date in 27 years,” she told People.
“In fact, it’s been so long, I’ve had a couple of lovely women ask me out because they figured that’s the case. But I’m content. I have two beautiful kids, a really full plate. I’ve already had my happily ever after.”
Earlier this month, Bindi shared a tribute to her late father, alongside a photograph of her family.
The Australia Zoo Conservationist took to Instagram to tell her crocodile hunter dad Steve just how amazing her brother Robert has been.
“Dad, you would be so incredibly proud of Robert. He has been such an amazing support during this beautiful new life chapter,” she wrote in a lengthy caption.
It continued: “I know you’d be beaming with pride when the time comes that he walks me down the aisle. I wish you could be here for these moments, but I know that your spirit lives on in us ❤️”
