Samuel Cochrane reveals he is donating Tara Pavlovic’s engagement ring to charity

So sad.

Two weeks ago, Bachelor In Paradise couple Tara Pavlovic and Samuel Cochrane announced they had split. Now, Sam has taken to Instagram to share with fans his plans for the stunning engagement ring.

He started, ‘The last time I held this ring there was so much electricity and hope in the air.

‘I remember holding it and believing that I was doing something important and something that mattered. That something was love.

‘After allowing time to pass and the things I’ve discovered I can see that those moments weren’t destined to last.

However the overwhelming support and love I have received from you all took my breath away,’ he continued. ‘Your words of encouragement and strength have been so special to me. Reading the extremely personal messages of struggles that many people have shared with me, told me it’s time to turn this into something positive.’

‘I have decided to donate this beautiful ring to charity,’ Sam shares. ‘This will go to auction for a charity that I believe in.’

‘It’s time to move on and having the beauty sit in a box, when it could be be doing good for others in need. This is really important to me.

‘Thank you all for your words. They have been beautiful and I’ve seen them.

‘I needed some time to breathe it all in, and understand it all, but It’s now time to move forward and look to the future.

‘Thank you all, and I wish everyone happiness and love. One step at a time ✨💫❤️’

Fans were quick to wish Sam well.

So heartbroken, take your time Sammy. we’ve seen your soul and how deeply you can love, your perfect match will come along when you’re ready,’ one wrote.

Another added, ‘Everything happens for a reason.’

More fans wrote, ‘ Much respect for you Sam and best wishes 💋, ‘U deserve the best and u are so selfless to give this ring up for charity as u have a kind heart.’

Sam has not yet announced which charity the ring will be donated to.

The couple, who met on Channel Ten’s dating show Bachelor In Paradise, became engaged on the show’s finale.

Taking to social media, the pair announced the sad news last month.

Sam wrote: This message goes out to all the beautiful people who shared with me such an amazing journey. The fairytale that I took part in was deep and surreal.

‘My proposal was meant to be forever but life sometimes takes you away from the dream and you wake up.

‘So…deep breath…this has come to an end. I loved Tara with my whole heart and those two people in Fiji fell completely. It’s hard writing this thinking back to those moments.

Sam continued, ‘Your joy in our story and the engagement meant so much and I can assure you it is the saddest thing for me to come to terms with. Watching something you valued fall apart and what you love follow a different path is one of the most difficult things.

‘I got to see that love is real and powerful….and it is. I’ll find it again. ❤️✨💫🌹🥀’

Tara also took to social media to share the sad news.
