The sweet nickname Meghan Markle is called by family

It's actually so cute

It seems that the Duchess of Sussex, whose birth name is actually Rachel Meghan Markle, is fondly known by yet another name by her nearest and dearest.

Meghan, 37, became a member of the British royal family when she married Prince Harry in May 2018, and gained the title of Duchess of Sussex.

But the Duchess has been known by a cute nickname since she was a baby – and her mum, Doria Ragland, continues to call her by it to this day.

According to Meghan’s uncle, Joseph Johnson, Doria has always called her daughter “Flower” and she still uses the nickname when speaking to her only child.

Talking to the Daily Mail, Joseph shared rare photos of the former Suits star as a baby and revealed the sweet details of her family nickname.

Speaking of Meghan and Doria’s bond, he says that Doria has taught Meghan “love and kindness and a sense of self” as well as the importance of “helping others and having a lot of courage”.

Joseph, who is Doria’s half-brother, said the family had been astonished when they found out Meghan would be marrying Harry.

“All of us were just really, really stunned. Shocked. Especially Doria. She was so excited,” he explained. “She was just saying ‘My little Flower!’ How can this be true? Unbelievable.”

“She said: ‘My Flower’s going to be a Princess, wooh-wooh-wooh!'”

Doria, 62, is expected to fly into the UK any day now in preparation for the birth of her grandchild.
