MAFS’ Jules hits back at body shaming trolls

People can be so cruel
Channel 9

She captured the hearts of Australian viewers with her stunning looks, kind heart and genuine personality as well as bagging her dream man in the shape of former cricketer Cameron Merchant on the current season of Married At First Sight.

But despite her outwardly charmed existence, Jules Robinson is feeling the sting of cruel comments from social media trolls who continue to criticise her weight and age.

The 36-year-old beauty business manager opened up about the online abuse revealing MAFS‘ fans have deemed her “too big and too old” to be with 34-year-old sports pro Cam.

The flame haired stunner admitted she frequently gets messages about her appearance and has even received a personal email from a woman telling her she was “too big to wear tight dresses”.

Highlighting the negative impact such comments can have on a person’s mental health, Jules pointed out reality stars are “not made of steel”.

The candid admission comes days after husband Cam whisked her out for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner in Sydney where the smitten couple looked more loved-up than ever.

The showbiz sweethearts were spotted indulging in jugs of fruity cocktails and sharing lots of laughter on February 14.

Their intimate outing was captured one week after the pair were pictured shopping for rings at a jewellers on February 5.

Jules and Cam have enjoyed a whirlwind romance in the spotlight, proving their on-screen relationship was the real deal by moving in together to a plush Sydney pad.

During last Tuesday’s installment of the Channel 9 social experiment, the couple revealed they had “taken their intimacy to a deeper level” by sleeping together for the first time.

“It was fantastic – the cricket was on, that was funny,” Jules said at the time.
