Davina Rankin went in to hiding after her explosive antics on Married At First Sight made waves across the nation, and now the controversial star has returned to social media with a bang.
Sharing a heartfelt message to her 320,000 Instagram followers, the 26-year-old bikini model shares what has been happening since the show went to air.
‘I just wanted to take the time to say a HUGE thank you for the love and support I’ve received these last few weeks 🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼 ,’ she starts. ‘To my friends, family, followers and some who have never even met me.. your messages, emails, txts .. it ALL means the world.
‘Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏🏼 I know I’ve been unusually quiet here on social media 🤳🏽🤷🏽♀️… So here’s a little insight on what’s been happening in my life lately.’
The heartfelt message is written alongside a vacation picture of the busty star and her girlfriends.
Davina also decided to include a 12-minute long YouTube video, explaining her experience on Married At First Sight and giving fans an insight into what she has been up to.
The reality star reveals in the video, ‘I’ve been MIA for the last few weeks, and this has been really hard for me to talk about…’
Davina goes on to explain how the negative backlash from the show affected her.
She adds, ‘Copping a really large amount of hate is something I am really not used to, and to be honest it really shook me.
‘That’s why I’ve been distant and silent.’
Tearing up, Davina reveals that she has been going through a ‘tough’ and ‘traumatic’ time in her life, but wants to thank her ‘fans, friends, followers and clients’ for helping her through.
