There’s no question about it, Lisa Wilkinson is delighted to be taking on a new role.
Ahead of her debut on Channel 10’s The Project next week, the former Today host appeared to make a not so subtle dig at her former Nine colleague, Karl Stefanovic.
Speaking to Confidential, the 58 year old praised Waleed Aly for journalism skills.
‘I’m so looking forward to working with Waleed (Aly), who, in terms of dissecting issues that truly matter, is the best in the business,’ she said of The Project star.
Karl’s past attempts at hard-hitting journalism haven’t exactly gone down well with audiences, having famously fronted ratings flope The Verdict in 2015.
Lisa also gushed over co-host Carrie Bickmore, telling the publication that the star had been a great friend and that she admires both her on-screen work as well as her commitment to raising brain cancer awareness.
