Newly eliminated I’m A Celebrity contestant Jackie Gillies has had a major breakdown when learning what her fellow contestants had said about her behind her back.
Footage shown last night saw boxer Danny Green refer to the Real Housewives Of Sydney star as ‘the most unintelligent person in the entire world,’ while actor Peter Rowsthorn was sen calling her a ‘b***face.’
Danny Green was the one campmate Gillies did not hug as she left the show, and when asked about the suspected feud by hosts Chris Brown and Julia Morris, the reality star quickly broke down.
She told the co-hosts, ‘I heard from a few people in camp that he didn’t like me and that really hurt because…I didn’t understand where it was coming from.’
‘I don’t let people stand over me, but there were times I felt intimidated by him. I didn’t know where it was coming from, because I thought I was nothing but kind to him.
This morning, while appearing on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, Gillies broke down again, revealing that the Channel 10 publicists had informed her what the other campmates thought of her.
Her voice cracked while telling the radio hosts, ‘That I’m the most unintelligent person, that I’m a ‘b**chface’, a ‘s**thead’ or whatever … I’ve got to be honest with you, that really hurt. I have to say, as I’m talking to you I’ve got one of the PR guys holding me because I’m trying hard not to cry.’
Gillies’ husband, Silverchair drummer Ben Gillies, had been overseeing her social media during her time on the show and last night defended his wife across his and his wife’s social media accounts.
Gillies added, ‘I think [Ben] was really affected by some of the things that were said. I didn’t know, because I was just carrying on in camp. But I have to be honest, in the past few days a couple of things have really rattled me, feeling like I was being dismissed in camp.’
There are only four episode remaining of I’m A Celebrity.
