Dannii Minogue was once blackmailed by a magazine with claims she was HIV positive.
Speaking about her ordeal on Anh’s Brush With Fame on Wednesday, the 47-year-old star revealed a British journalist threatened her with a false story unless she agreed to an interview with their publication.

The sister of Kylie Minogue was left with no choice but to quickly undergo a HIV test to discredit the claims, Daily Mail Australia reports.
Dannii said: “This was in London. I come home to my building and there’s a bunch of flowers for me. I take it up to my apartment and there’s a letter with it.
“I open up the letter and it says, ‘Hi, I’m such-and-such journalist and we are running a story tomorrow to say that you are HIV positive unless you contact us’.
“Like, what kind of blackmail is this that comes with a bunch of flowers?”
The star explained she was forced to rush to her doctor for a blood test which she immediately sent to the magazine in question to prove their claims were false.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Melbourne native opened up about her relationship with superstar sister Kylie.
As he got to work on her portrait, Anh asked, “Does it annoy you to be compared to your sister all the time?”
“So annoying, Anh!” Dannii replied, laughing.
“It is. It’s really annoying. Like, we just… we’re a tight family unit and we support each other.”
Then came a heartbreaking admission.
“And yeah, I remember there was a lot of stuff written about my weight, and comparing my size and physique to my sister. And the general crux of it was, Kylie’s this perfect human being and I’m not.”
