Rove McManus recently posted a sweet tribute to his pal Carrie Bickmore on her birthday.
‘Happy Birthday to my dear friend, the sweet, hilarious, strong, smart, hardworking, caring and downright brilliant Carrie Bickmore,’ he penned to Instagram on Tuesday.
‘Is there truly any greater gift than friendship? Love from a guy that otherwise didn’t get you anything,’ he cheekily added.
Carrie and Rove bonded over the fact both spouses passed away from illnesses.
‘He was a guiding light for me,’ Carrie told TV Week previously.
She admitted when she saw Rove ‘smashing it out of the park night after night [on TV]’ while going through his extreme hardship in his personal life’ she was inspired to do the same after her husband passed away from brain cancer.
‘It gave me faith that I could give my all to my career and home life, and navigate through it all,’ she added.
Rove’s wife Belinda Emmett passed away in 2006 while Carrie’s first husband Greg Lange died in 2010.
Both Carrie and Rove have worked on The Project together and have been great friends since.
