Just when it looked like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were finally about to call a truce over their bitter divorce battle, things have blown up once again.
According to Life & Style’s sources, the embattled pair were ‘just days away’ from signing off on their divorce and custody agreement. However, Angie ‘suddenly reversed course,’ and now things are worse than ever.
‘She thought Brad was pushing too hard to resolve the situation to his benefit and felt she was losing control,’ spilled the insider.
With Brad desperate to keep on her good side, the Fight Club star agreed to a joint request asking the court to keep temporary judge on their case until December 31.
‘Now it’s looking like the divorce won’t be finalised at least until the end of next year.’
And to make matters worse, Angelina has decided to take their six kids – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne – away to spend the European spring and summer in England whilst she films Maleficent 2.
This shock announcement spells Brad news for Brad – who is desperate to see his kids on a regular basis. Until a final custody plan is in place, Ange is in complete control over when he sees their children.
‘Brad wants the kids to stay with him in LA for at least a two week period over the summer, but Angie has the right to say no to that request and tell him to come to London if he wants to see the children.’
And while Brad has vowed to do whatever it takes to spend more time with his family, ‘travelling halfway around the world for long weekends isn’t going to be easy,’ says the source.
‘He’s tried his best to be as amicable as possible with Angie, but she’s hard work – it’s her way or the highway. He’s rapidly losing patience.’
Jolie and Pitt have yet to respond to Life & Style’s claims.
