Steve Irwin has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame over a decade after his shock death, and daughter Bindi Irwin put on an emotional display at the touching ceremony.
While telling the crowd about her father, Bindi teared up, while brother Robert and mother Terri, gave emotional support.
‘Never in my wildest dreams,’ Bindi said.
‘He was the best and most incredible conservationist, but also the best dad,’ her brother Robert added.
In a fitting tribute to late ‘Crocodile Hunter’, the family brought a giant python to the event and the reptile was seen slithering over the star.
The Irwin family were also supported by Bindi’s boyfriend Chandler Powell, whom she has been dating since 2015.
Meanwhile, Irwin’s ‘best mate’ and director of Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors, Wes Mannion, was the MC of the ceremony.
Irwin, 44, died on September 4, 2006 while filming on the Great Barrier Reef near Port Douglas when a stingray struck him with a barb to the heart.
On May 5, wildlife warriors from across the world will attend the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner in Beverly Hills to celebrate his life and legacy.
