We now know that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry waited 8 hours after the birth of Baby Sussex to inform journalists that anything regarding Meg’s pregnancy status had changed, and when they did contact the media, it was to tell them a lie.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement via Buckingham Palace that Meghan Markle was in labour, and just 50 minutes later, the Sussex  Instagram account informed the world that Meghan had given birth to a baby boy.

We would only find out later that the first time mum had been in labour for far longer than we first believed, with fans doing quick math to figure out that Baby Sussex’s existence was not known to the public for an extraordinary eight hours.

Many people have been left scratching their heads as to whether the withheld information was intentional from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, or if it was all just a miscommunication behind closed doors.

All three of Kate Middleton’s birth announcements were promptly made when the Duchess of Cambridge went into labour, and then again when the babies were born.

Could the lack of information be just down to crossed wires between Buckingham Palace and the Sussex media team?

Or could it just be that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry wanted a few precious hours with their new bub before fronting the media?
