Meghan Markle – now the Duchess of Sussex – wowed in a white Brandon Maxwell dress as she and Prince Harry went on a walkabout in Auckland on Oct. 30.

The royal couple were accompanied by the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern for the walkabout, which was due to be followed by a reception  at the Auckland War Memorial.

Meghan opted for a form-fitting white dress for the occasion – an unsurprising choice given she has shown a penchant for white outfits over the 16-day tour.

She accessorised her Brandon Maxwell dress with a trench by Burberry and Stuart Weitzman nude heels.

As Harry and Meghan completed their Auckland walkabout, it was revealed that a powerful earthquake had struck the region.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ahern tweeted that the quake was “widely felt across central NZ”.

The royal couple were several hundred kilometres away from the epicentre.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand said there had been no reports of damage and there is no tsunami risk, according to civil defence.

In Auckland, the Duchess delighted the crowd by accepting flowers and gifts from well-wishers.

One, Adelaide Sinclair, 14, was overcome with emotion after meeting the Duchess.

She handed Meghan a “personal letter” after queuing up since 9am to meet the royal visitors.

She said: “They both said ‘Take deep breaths’, she took my hand. I’m just crying.”

As Harry and Meghan got into their car, another well-wisher, Liam Welby, shouted “Gingers rule!”.

Speaking afterwards, the 21-year-old said: “He’s probably the best ginger I’ve seen apart from myself in the mirror.”

Max Henry, 10, was holding pictures of himself meeting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they visited New Zealand in 2014.

He said: “I said ‘Look who I met, it’s your brother’ and he said ‘Oh yeah’.”
