‘We both had pretty colourful youths,’ Chiara, 32, spills to New Idea.

David reveals he started working in nightclubs at just 16 and got caught up in the wrong circles at a young age.

‘I worked in nightclubs, got my security license and got mixed up with the wrong crowds,’ he explains.

‘But my Nan was my rock and she always said to me: “You can do better.”’

Mum-of-three Chiara says it’s David, 38, who saved her from her own partying.

‘My parents divorced when I was young and that’s when I started partying pretty hard,’ she remembers.

‘I was out partying and doing all the wrong things and I needed to change my life. So, literally, six weeks after meeting, I asked him to take me onto the show grounds so I could clean up and start fresh.’
