Masterchef judge George Calombaris has revealed he plans to wed his partner of 11-years Natalie Tricarico in a lavish Greek ceremony!
The 39-year-old restauranteur, who shares two children with Tricarico, told the Herald Sun the pair were likely to have a destination wedding during the European summer.
The pair were both divorced from previous marriages when they met in 2007, and now share seven-year-old son James and five-year-old daughter Michaela.
‘I need to get married one day because I need to grow up,’ he joked to the publication, before adding: ‘But I’m excited about getting married!’
The popular television personality continued, ‘I’m very privileged and lucky to have beautiful and healthy children, and Natalie has been an incredible backbone in everything in my life. She’s had to put up with a lot with me. I’m a very lucky man.’
Remaining hush-hush about the date of the big day, he said: ‘It’s going to be an exciting day when it comes along. It’s a seal of commitment…Actually, let me rephrase that — it’s a great opportunity to have a party!’
Despite his wedding joy, George has recently been embroiled in a bitter feud with his neighbour over a home gym he’d constructed in his home.
Helen Elsworth spoke to the Herald Sun earlier this month, claiming the celebrity chef had erected a self-contained gym in the backyard of his Melbourne mansion, robbing her of privacy.
Helen told the newspaper she wants the gym torn down because she believes that it breaches regulations.
‘He’s the worst neighbour I’ve had in my life,’ she said.
‘He should be living in Central Australia somewhere, where he can’t bother people, not in the suburbs.
Natalie Tricarico, George’s wife, also told the Herald Sun that the building was legal, claiming: ‘We have also continued to ensure our neighbours who share a land boundary with us were kept informed of the progress of the construction works – as we were required to do – and those neighbours have expressed no issue with the construction or the process that took place.’
Helen has filed a complaint with the Victorian Building Authority.
