The Morgan family are thrown into disarray once again, when panicked dad Justin (James Stewart) realises his young daughter Ava (Grace Thomas Rose) is missing.
Left in his care for an extended period for the first time, Ava’s mum Nina (Zoe Naylor) put her trust in Justin.
However, things quickly turn sour after he is forced to testify at Robbo’s (Jake Ryan) trial – disappointing Ava by taking the stand. The next morning, he awakes to find Ava missing and he thinks it’s his fault.
‘Justin didn’t realise it would have such a big effect on Ava,’ James tells New Idea. ‘Instead of taking her surfing, he has to go to court.’
Justin’s alarm at Ava’s disappearance is only mildly assuaged by Willow’s (Sarah Roberts) reminder that Ava has done this kind of thing before.
‘When Justin realises Ava is not in the house, he goes straight into panic mode,’ James says.
‘As any normal parent would, but the panic slowly increases, hour by hour.’
As the town chip in to help track down the little girl, Justin heads to the police station to report Ava missing.
‘Justin’s headspace goes from panic to freak out,’ James adds.
