Fears mount for Michael Caine amid rumours he’s battling severe health issues.
The 85-year-old is wheelchair-bound and even confesses himself that his days are ‘numbered’.
Fans have expressed concern over his most recent appearances, including his attendance at the premiere of My Generation, where Sir Paul McCartney was photographed pushing his wheelchair.
The Aflie actor has also dropped 30 pounds recently, contributing to his frail condition.
Although he attributes his weight loss to quitting alcohol, sources tell Globe he’s battling a slew of health problems, including Parkinson’s disease.
An insider shared their fears with Globe that Caine is ‘suffering from Parkinson’s and only has a few months to live’.
‘I’ll probably drop dead talking to you but I’ve lost 30 pounds just because I want to see my grandchildren,’ Caine told a reporter.
‘They’re twins of six and a boy of seven. I’d like to get to 17 for the boy.’
Although a rep for the star was quick to quash rumours about his ill-health, calling them ‘ridiculous’, another source claims his ‘inner circle’ hold grave concerns for the star.
‘His movements are slow and stiff. Those in his inner circle are terrified he will likely spend the remainder of his days trapped in that wheelchair, a virtual prisoner in his own body,’ they revealed.
