Kris Smith has revealed he was once a victim of domestic abuse in a previous relationship.
The I’m A Celebrity… star opened up about how he ended an engagement to a kickboxer after she punched him.
“She busted my nose. She busted my lip,” he said.
“She could throw a punch as well. I went to walk off and she booted me right up the a*s and I turned around and she punched me again.”
He explained that the fight was caused by a surprise dinner he had planned.
“It came from nowhere. There was never any jealous things like this before and I was organising a nice dinner for her.”
The father-of-one says his son, Ethan, was his inspiration for being on the show.
“Knowing that there is a special person out there who loves and cares for you and is rooting for you makes this do-able,” Kris confessed. “I know that Ethan is watching me and making me proud, so. That has made me want to stay. That is really weird. I know he is in England with my mum and dad until the end of February and I know he will be watching it.”
