There is speculation that Prince William will walk Meghan down the aisle.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming nuptials are set to be the wedding of the year.

And, while Prince William was tipped to be Harry’s Best Man it turns out that he might have an even bigger role to play on the couple’s special day.

William is set to walk his little bro’s future wife down the aisle!

The couple will tie the knot on May 19 at St Georges Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

But, it has been reported that Meghan’s two closest male relatives will not be present for the event, meaning William could be asked to perform the traditional duty.

The Happy couple will wed on May 19.

Meghan’s half–brother, Thomas Markle Jr- who was accused of putting a gun to his fiancé’s head last year- reportedly did not get an invite to the wedding.

‘I think it is because he just can’t seem to keep his mouth shut,’ a source revealed to the Daily Star.

‘If he would quit talking to the media, Meghan would probably be more into the idea of inviting him.’

What’s more her reclusive father, Thomas Sr, will not be giving her away as he has struggled with the limelight surrounding her royal romance.

‘She’s also worried about how he would handle it as he’s become even more of a recluse,’ a second source told the Daily Star.

‘Not to mention the fact that there has been some bad blood between Harry and Thomas after Harry made comments about her finally getting the family she never had.’

Meghan and her mother
Meghan reportedly wanted her mother to walk her down the aisle.

And while Meghan adores her new brother in law, she would prefer to have her mum, Doria Ragland, walk her down the aisle, but the Royal Family are reluctant to break with tradition.

‘The royals understand why Meghan might prefer to have her mother, but it’s not exactly traditional to have a woman walk a bride down the aisle,’ the source added.

‘Some of the royals aren’t happy about the idea, so they suggested that William do it. He is the natural choice.’
