Waleed Aly’s foul-mouthed tirade against Donald Trump

'I'm sick of it!'

Waleed Aly viciously attacked Robert De Niro for his ‘foul-mouthed’ rant about US President Donald Trump at the Tony Awards on Sunday night.

The Project host slammed the star’s expletive-laden rant about Trump, and also slammed the audience at the prestigious awards show for giving a standing ovation.

At the Tony Awards, De Niro claimed: ‘F**k Trump! It’s no longer down with Trump, it’s f**k Trump.’

Waleed was not impressed with the Godfather actor.

‘What is going on here?’ he asked on Tuesday night’s episode of The Project. ‘De Niro gets up, says, ‘eff Trump’ and gets a standing ovation?’

Waleed sensationally claimed he was ‘sick’ of Hollywood’s elite ranting about President Trump as he insisted it is what the businessman wants.

Adding, ‘Celebrities saying stuff like that about Trump is exactly what Trump talks about to his base.’

‘And they go, ‘yeah, I’m sick of these Hollywood elites being like that’ — do they not put that together?’, he adds, clearly unimpressed.

Follwoing De Niro’s outburst, CBS told the Sydney Morning Herald the actor’s tirade had been ‘spontaneous.’

The statement read: ‘Mr De Niro’s comments were unscripted and unexpected. The offensive language was deleted from the broadcast.’
