There have been many moments in Bachelor history that have made you want to cover your eyes and run for cover – but this one takes the cake!
On Thursday night’s episode of the Channel Ten series saw Bachelor contestant Romy go in for a very awkward kiss, with Nick Cummins quickly stating, ‘I think we should slow it down.’
The sport star couldn’t hide his embarrassment from his face as he made a variety of uncomfortable facial expressions while unsure of how to act.
‘Romy came in for a kiss…with pace. She came in hot,’ Nick said afterwards.
‘Only thing is, for me, I like to hold back a bit and establish a real connection – try and make it a bit more meaningful, if possible. Whew!’
Honey Badger continued: ‘Better take this down a notch.’ There’s 21 other girls back at the mansion, and I need to consider their feelings as well.’
‘It’s about love, and I don’t…I would hate to hurt anyone’s feelings. I don’t know. It’s not my thing.’
Later, Romy decided to cause drama back at the house.
Despite Nick rejecting her kiss, Romy told the other contestants the intimate exchange was ‘really good.’
She bragged: ‘Mate! Yeah, we had a really, like, romantic kiss.’
‘I was just, you know, in my element, really, telling the girls that I kissed him… It was hot. It was a real kiss.’
‘I had a lot of daggers being sent my way. But it was also a really good feeling, to rub it in. It was the right time and the right place and it was just, like, the right moment to do it. It wasn’t tacky, it wasn’t forced.’
Later, Romy decided her bragging wasn’t quite done.
As fellow contestant Tenille was enjoying a private moment with Nick, the blonde rudely interrupted their chat.
After than sitting herself directly next to Nick she proceeded to lean in for a second shot at making out.
Unfortunately for Romy, again, Nick remained ever the gentleman and brushed off her advances as she settled for getting intimate with his cheek and neck instead.
Surprisingly happy with how things went, Romy later bagged: ‘I could see that all the girls were watching me with Nick and I wanted the girls to know that I am a threat.’
