The sixth season of The Bachelor is well and truly underway – and things are getting cutthroat behind the scenes as two clear frontrunners, Brooke Blurton and Brittany Hockley, emerge in the race to win over Nick Cummins’ heart.
The gorgeous brunettes have both already shared steamy kisses and precious one-on-one time with the Honey Badger, proving they’re the ones to watch. And Nick may also have given the biggest clue of all, putting his foot in it during a radio interview, revealing the winner isn’t his usual type. He hinted that it’s a brunette who gets the final rose.
‘In the past, they have actually been sandy blonde… and that’s why I’ve had a big changer,’ he said.
With a brunette potentially set to win his heart, Nick describes why these two are ticking all his boxes.
‘I’m not sure what it is about Brooke. She has some sort of peace that surrounds her… she is a grounded soul. A very real girl. For me, that’s attractive,’ Nick gushes.
‘[Whereas Brittany] She’s like Wonder Woman without the shield. There is initial attraction. She is world travelled, she is mature, she is intelligent. I feel like Britt challenges me when I am around her and it’s a good thing. It brings out the best in me and I want to be around that sort of woman. I am excited about where it could go. She is just a beautiful being.’
With chemistry off the charts, Brooke has shared intimate dates with Nick at his very own Bachelor pad.
‘Nick makes me feel very comfortable,’ she says.
‘I definitely could see myself falling in love with Nick. He is a very lovable person.’
And for Brittany things are getting just as serious. ‘It’s been years since I have felt the things I am starting to feel with Nick,’ she admits. ‘I’ve never really wanted to date somebody unless I thought they were potentially The One. I could definitely fall in love with him.’
Brittany is also doing nothing to silence speculation that she is Nick’s final pick. Last week, the 30-year-old was caught ‘liking’ posts by friends on her Facebook account, suggesting that they should place cash bets on her winning the final rose.
Nick’s bachelorettes face the ultimate test this week when his family enter the Bachelor mansion so the girls have got to make sure they’re on their best behaviour. The rugby star’s sister Bernadette issues a stark warning to his potential lovers.
‘Nick attracts all types of girls. I am concerned that some girls might not be here for the right reasons,’ she explains. ‘I am not here to play games, I am here to help Nick out.’
