The Molly star reflects one year on from her death.

Samuel Johnson’s sister Connie Johnson, who bravely battled cancer for most of her life, succumbed to the disease on Sept. 8 last year. She was 40.

Now, the Love Your Sister co-founder has reflected on the past year without his sister.

‘I can’t believe it’s been a year already [since Connie died],’ Samuel tells WHO. ‘I feel like I’ve only really just adjusted to not having her.’

‘She’s such a part of my everyday thinking and my everyday work,’ the Molly star adds. ‘It’s hard to get my head around [the anniversary].’

Samuel has achieved much with the Love Your Sister campaign he started with his sister.

The organisation continues to raise funds for breast cancer research, and provides a space for all those affected by cancer to come together.

When asked if Connie would be proud of the organisation’s growth, Sam says: ‘She was pretty sparing with her praise.’

‘Would she be proud of my efforts? Maybe.’

Samuel is also relishing time playing uncle to Connie’s two sons, Willoughby and Hamilton.

‘They call me Uncle Catastrophe,’ he tells WHO.

‘I’m uncoordinated, disorganised and fairly ramshackle. So they love watching the wheels fall off whenever Uncle Sammy tries to do anything.’
