WATCH: Royal Love Child DNA Results REVEALED
They are the two men who believe they are the secret love children of two of the monarchy’s most prominent royals.
Queensland father Simon Dorante-Day has a mountain of evidence that supports his claim that he’s the son of Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla.
Englishman Robert Brown has also fought for decades to prove that he’s the secret child of Princess Margaret, resulting in a string of legal battles with the royal family.
But what New Idea can now exclusively reveal is that the two men share a trusted friendship – and have a secret pact to help one another reveal the truth of their royal heritage.
They’ve even discussed the possibility of doing secret DNA testing to see if they share the same royal blood, however lawyers advised against it – a move Simon supported.
“The only DNA test I’m interested in doing is with Charles and Camilla,” he told New Idea.
“Robert, like me, really believes that Princess Margaret is his mother, just as I believe Charles and Camilla are my parents. And we don’t feel the need to do a DNA test between ourselves because we know it to be true.”
“If they did DNA testing on me and Robert, or any of the people claiming to be illegitimate children of the royal family, then yes, there’d be a DNA connection if their claims were all true.
“But the legal advice from the start has been don’t give anything, don’t do any DNA tests with others – keep it.”
“I have to do what’s right for me. What I am interested in is getting a DNA test with Charles and Camilla, and that is the legal road I am going down.
“And it will happen – I’m very confident of that.”
Of course, if Simon is successful, the results of the DNA test would be sure to cause a stir behind palace doors.
In an exclusive interview with New Idea, Simon and his wife Elvianna spoke about their friendship with Robert, now 64, since finding each other on Facebook back in 2017.
“I initially messaged him and he had heard of me and it just went from there,” adds Simon, 52.
“We messaged and then Skyped, we’ve spoken quite a few times.
“The biggest thing that Robert and I found was how many similar experiences we’d had, especially in terms of the interference in our lives and the lengths people have gone to, to stop us from getting to the truth.
“There is a real genuine camaraderie between us. He was the first cousin I got to speak to. The first phone call went for two, three hours. And everything that one of us would say, the other would say ‘Wow, I went through that’ or ‘Wow, a similar thing happened to me’.”
“We talked about the legal steps and I support what he did and what he’s doing. We agreed that if either of us got to the point where we had evidence, we’d be sharing it with one another.”
Adds Elvianna: “The one thing Robert made us realise was that we could take a legal route with this, that we could take legal action against the royal family. He was the first to do it, he demonstrated how to do it – and we did it too.”
Indeed, Robert is no stranger to legal action against the royals, which he said came about because Buckingham Palace refused to “confirm or deny” his assertion that Princess Margaret was his mother.
Born in Kenya on January 5, 1955, Robert believes that he’s the secret child of Margaret, the Queen’s sister, and one of two men – either Scottish aristocrat Robin Douglas-Home, who she had a well-publicised affair with, or her boyfriend at the time, Group Captain Peter Townsend.
It’s believed she kept the pregnancy under wraps to avoid the scandal of a princess having a baby out of wedlock and so adopted the baby out to Cynthia and Douglas Brown.
Margaret and Cynthia reportedly knew each other, and Robert even remembers meeting her as a young boy.
“I remember we were playing games and during the day she told me that I must be on my very best behaviour because one day I might be king of England,” Robert told The Independent.
It’s a tale that’s only too familiar to Simon, who also remembers as a young boy in the UK town of Portsmouth, where he was born, visiting a woman he now recognises.
“I can remember being taken to a house on top of a hill and my adoptive mother knocked on the front door – she never went in, I just went in,” Simon tells New Idea.
“I was sitting at a coffee table playing with toys, and there was a woman there with a very light, summery dress sitting at a couch – a two-seater couch – with blonde hair.
“And there’s a picture of Prince Charles from around that time, with Camilla at the polo – and that’s the woman I see, who I see in that memory.
“It was Camilla.”
Says Simon’s wife Elvianna: “We believe that Camilla fell pregnant to Charles and that Camilla, with the help of her family and the royals, kept Simon hidden in Portsmouth until he was 18 months old.”
Simon was eventually adopted by David Day and his wife Karen, whose parents Winifred and Ernest both worked for the Queen and Prince Philip in one of their royal households.
Ernest Day even received an Imperial Service Award for his work for Her Majesty.
Elvianna adds: “We believe the royals knew from his adoptive grandmother that her daughter couldn’t have children and had already adopted a daughter, and it was arranged that she would take Simon.”
In another similarity, there are inconsistencies with both of their birth certificates.
While Robert was born on January 5, 1955, his birth certificate was not registered until February 2 – the same day that a Privy Council meeting, involving the Queen’s most trusted advisers, was held.
The hospital listed on Simon’s birth certificate has never accepted maternity patients and no births were recorded the year he was born. Also, the biological parents listed on the document simply don’t exist.
In a telling twist, Simon’s biological parents reportedly demanded that he have the middle name Charles as a condition of the adoption – something they honoured.
In another parallel, Camilla disappeared off the social scene in the nine months before Simon was born in 1966, while Margaret went from wearing tight dresses in the start of 1955 to increasingly more billowing frocks towards the end of the year, when she would’ve been heavily pregnant.
And incredibly, both Simon and Robert were directly told of their royal heritage.
When he was older, Simon’s grandmother – unable to keep the secret any longer – told him that Charles and Camilla were his parents, warning him of the cover-up.
As for Robert, Simon says: “He was actually told that one day, you could be king. Family members told him that he would be a royal one day.”
He adds: “Whenever it was my birthday I used to get presents from people I didn’t know … aunties and uncles who I’d never met. I never knew who they were or how they fitted into the family, no-one could ever tell me.
“But I used to have to sit down and write these thank you letters, and if I made one spelling mistake or one grammatical error I’d have to start all over again. And I’d sit there for hours doing them.”
However one of the major similarities is the interference of both men’s adoptive parentsin the relationships they
tried to form.
Simon believes his mother wanted to stop him telling the truth to his wife Elvianna.
He says: “Robert has a similar story. His family’s direct involvement in his affairs, his mother trying to sabotage any relationship that he had.”
Simon says they’re now both driven by the same need to know their heritage.
“Robert and I really feel – and people won’t get it, unless they’ve been adopted – that you really want to know who you are,” Simon says. “And we’ve done all this research and we want to know that we’re right.
“We’re sick and tired of all the running and the hiding and the sneaky tactics. It’s time to face up to it and come clean.”
Simon, who’s a father of nine and grandfather of four, says he believes Robert’s claims.
“I do believe his story,” Simon says. “When you look at him I can see Margaret in him. But also his story – when you sit and speak to him, you believe him.
“And there’s only so many events that you can write off as circumstantial, but there’s such a volume of circumstantial stuff that points to the conclusion that Charles and Camilla are my parents, and Robert’s the same.”
Both Simon and Robert have seen a lot of roadblocks in their search for the truth.
“Robert went to London and was doing a video blog recording of himself outside Buckingham Palace and MI5 detained him for 24 hours and deleted the video before releasing him,” he says.
“And I don’t truly believe – and I’m fairly confident about this – that it isn’t the royal family who’s stopping the investigation into my claims. It’s the government and the establishment. The royal family cannot tell the truth. It’s down to me to free the birdies from the cage – that’s what it feels like.”
Simon is confident he’ll get DNA proof that Camilla and Charles are his parents.
“It’s comforting talking to Robert, it was very much so for both of us,” Simon tells New Idea. “That made it more real. He used to say to me ‘Gee Simon, you’re going to get there before me – you’ve got more of a story than I do’.
“At the end of the day, this is my mum and dad. I want to have a relationship with them at the end of this,” he says.
