Princess Mary of Denmark took the day off on Sunday to enjoy some family time.

The Danish royal family attended the Gråsten Ring Rider Association’s annual parade in the gates of Gråsten Palace, the family’s summer palace, and royal fans were in awe of Prince Frederik and Mary’s ‘grown up’ children.

The couple’s four children – Prince Christian, 12, Princess Isabella, 11, and twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, 8 – attend the annual event.

One fan wrote online, ‘I’m shocked how much the children have grown up, especially Isabelle and Josephine takes after her mum so much.’

‘Very nice to see the CP Family again. These children are growing so fast, Christian and Isabella almost are their mothers height. Vincent and Josephine are not little children anymore .I must say everyone looks fantastic today,’ another added.

According to the Danish Royal House, the parade includes a ’tilting competition’ that takes part over several days.

Stemming from medieval times, the tradition takes place on horseback and the rider, with his or her lance, must spear a metal ring suspended between two stanchions
