Princess Eugenie is set to wed tequila-mogul boyfriend Jack Brooksbank on October 12, and bookies have revealed what colour Her Majesty will be wearing to her granddaughter’s big day.
Eugenie, who is ninth-in-line to the British throne, will wed in the same venue as cousin Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
The lavish affair already has a star-studded guest list, champagne filled luncheon and extravagant reception.
And while rumours are swirling as to who will design Princess Eugenie’s gown, there is also growing excitement as to what Her Majesty will wear.
According to Ladbrokes, the latest odds reveal the Queen will be wearing blue for the big day.
Ladbrokes spokesman Alex Apati said: “Punters seem to think the Queen will go for blue on Eugenie’s big day.”
Currently blue for the monarch’s colour of choice lies at 2/1, followed by pink at 3/1.
There is a very special reason the 92-year-old monarch typically wears bright colours.
In the documentary, The Queen at 90, the Queen’s daughter-in-law, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, said: “She needs to stand out for people to be able to say ‘I saw the Queen.’ Don’t forget that when she turns up somewhere, the crowds are two, three, four, 10, 15 deep, and someone wants to be able to say they saw a bit of the Queen’s hat as she went past.”
